Software Engineering Intern

Details

We’re looking for a proactive Software Engineering Intern to support the development and deployment of our core platform. You’ll work on real-world digital health applications — helping to build, integrate, and scale our clinical-grade software infrastructure across cloud, web, and hospital systems. This role is ideal for someone with strong programming skills and a passion for building products that make a difference in people’s lives.

🎯 What You’ll Do

  • Support full-stack development (backend and frontend) of web-based clinical dashboards and data visualization tools
  • Help build and maintain APIs for secure exchange of patient and prediction data
  • Assist in integrating VIOSync with hospital EHRs, LIS/HIS systems, or medical-grade wearable data streams
  • Write clean, testable, and well-documented code in line with regulatory-grade software engineering practices
  • Support DevOps workflows, containerization (e.g., Docker), and deployment in clinical environments
  • Collaborate closely with data scientists, product managers, and clinicians to understand system requirements

About You

  • Currently enrolled in (or recently completed) a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar
  • Strong skills in Python and/or JavaScript (e.g. Node.js, React, or similar frameworks)
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, Git, and modern software development practices
  • Bonus if you’ve worked with Docker, CI/CD, PostgreSQL, or cloud platforms (AWS, GCP)
  • Interest in healthcare, clinical AI, and impactful technology
  • You’re detail-oriented, eager to learn, and collaborative

🏢 Team Culture

  • We treat each other with respect, humility, and openness;
  • We value curiosity, experimentation, and fast learning;
  • We embrace flexibility and focus on solving real-world problems that matter;
  • We believe in diversity—of background, perspective, and skill set;
  • We value open dialogue and brainstorming across multidisciplinary teams;
  • We prioritize deep work, async collaboration, and only meet when it matters;
  • Work from anywhere in the world (within ±3h of GMT), as long as the WiFi’s solid.

🎁 What We Offer

  • Impact: Work on systems that could help save lives in intensive care
  • Learning: Direct mentorship from experienced engineers and clinicians
  • Real product exposure: You’ll contribute to production-level, regulatory-facing codebases
  • Flexibility: Remote-friendly, async-first culture
  • Opportunity: Potential to grow into a long-term role (associate, thesis, or junior dev)
